There’s a truth most people avoid facing about intimate relationships, marriages, and long term partnerships.

The deeper the commitment, the heavier this truth becomes.

You cannot walk alone.

Not in the way you could before. Not in that pure, undiluted freedom of the solo path.

When you enter sacred partnership, you enter the realm of consideration. Not as a burden, but as the very foundation of what you’ve chosen.

The solo Yogi scans only within.

Hears only their Soul’s voice.

Follows without hesitation, without negotiation, without taking into account how their choices ripple into another’s life.

This is ultimate autonomy.

The freedom to pursue your destiny unencumbered by anyone’s needs, opinions, or presence.

But you chose differently.

You chose the path of two. Or more.

And on this path, consideration becomes sacred architecture. The invisible temple where your union either flourishes or fractures.

Most couples are fighting about this single thing, dressed up in a thousand disguises. One person doesn’t feel seen enough, understood enough, accounted for. The other feels their autonomy strangled, their truth muted, their path compromised.

Both are right.

Because consideration demands compromise. Real compromise. The kind where you cannot simply follow your inner voice without factoring in how your choices land on the person you’ve vowed to walk beside.

Sometimes you just want to break free. Stop considering. Stop negotiating. Stop bending your will to honor another.

This tension is the crucible.

When that pressure builds too high, people explode outward. They leave. They cheat. They numb. They fantasize about the freedom they surrendered when they said yes to partnership.

So I’m asking you directly…

Are you truly committed to consideration beyond individuality?

Can you feel your partner as an aspect of yourself and yourself as an aspect of them?

Not completing each other in that codependent way, but merged in sacred union where she becomes your inner feminine, he becomes your inner masculine, enshrined through the ritual of divine marriage?

Where you become one with each other, one with your lineage, one with the Divine, one with everything?

Or are you actually called to the path of self-autonomy? Self-direction. Self-motive.

Not because you’re running from trauma ,past wounds or avoiding intimacy out of fear or mistrust.

But because you genuinely know that your highest expression requires the undiluted freedom of walking alone. That you become your most powerful, authentic, clear, and aligned self when you’re not bound by the noble weight of consideration.

Both paths are sacred.

Both require brutal honesty about what you’re actually built for.

The question is whether you’re living the path you chose, or resenting the one you’re on while pretending you want something else.

Your power, your clarity, your expansive oneness with everything depends on knowing which fire you’re meant to tend.

The fire of solo sovereignty.

Or the fire of sacred union.

Choose.

Then commit to what consideration actually means on that path.

ps… added later after reflection..

It’s been 38 strong, ecstatic evolutionary years with my beloved and we’ve been heart friends even before that for a few years in high school. It’s tough being a very independent, strong-willed, very directed man to always be in constant consideration of my beloved. It’s not my strong point. It’s an ever-practise cultivation, which I fail miserably at times and yet when I get it right, it’s magic. I’m sure Suzanne would say the same. There is no arrival. The past is here to support the wisdom of the present and the future is all creation from the now
