There comes a time on the path of enlightenment when one awakens before the other.
You touch God…
Through ceremony, meditation, loss, birth, or a sudden silence…
Something cracked you open…and now you can’t go back.
Your Spirit is ablaze.
You feel the pulse of Truth in your bones.
You want to go deeper, to bow at the altar of Realness.
But beside you…
Your beloved is still anchored in the everyday.
Laundry. Schedules. Profits. Play. Survival.
They aren’t uninterested..they’re simply in a different classroom of the Divine.
And so begins the ache.
You’re not better. They’re not less.
One of you just got the whisper from the Infinite a little sooner.
And it’s not their job to catch up. Nor your job to dim your flame.
This is where many relationships tremble.
When the Soul yearns to soar, but the body is still holding hands.
When you feel an invisible distance that no words can explain.
What do you do?
You love them where they are.
You honor the path they’re walking ,even if it’s not mystical, ecstatic, or filled with satsang.
Their Dharma might be paying bills, raising children, anchoring daily reality.
That too is a form of meditation.
And if the chasm grows wider…
If the paths diverge completely…
Then parting might be the next Holy rite.
Not from judgment or specialness , but from evolution.
Let your love become unconditional.
Let your awakening soften you, not harden you.
Let your sadness bless the gap, not resent it.
Not everyone hears the same drumbeat of awakening.
Some will rest in the valley while you ascend.
And that’s okay.
The summit doesn’t demand company.
It demands truthfulness.
Your truth, fully lived, is the offering
Warrior…stay rooted.
Sage…stay open.
And if your partner joins you…
Rejoice.
If not…
Bow to their path with the dignity of a Soul who remembers that Love is not possession…it is an honouring
