Shake up the body: Before any important meeting or event, I engage in a practice of shaking out my body. This can involve vigorous movement, breathwork, or a brief debriefing. By shaking my body, I release tension and ground myself, allowing me to enter the situation feeling refreshed and energized.

Thank you so much for joining us in this interview series! Before we dive into the main focus of our interview, our readers would love to “get to know you” a bit better. Can you tell us a bit about your childhood backstory?

Sure, I’d be happy to share a bit about my childhood backstory. From a young age, I was drawn to the world of martial arts, healing, and enlightenment. At the age of 12, I began my journey in Kung Fu, and this path ignited my passion for personal growth and healing. As I delved deeper into the practice of Kung Fu, I became increasingly interested in exploring the most potent healing methods available on the planet. This fascination with healing and the quest for knowledge became integral to my upbringing and laid the foundation for my lifelong journey in the field of healing and personal growth.

What or who inspired you to pursue your career as an entrepreneur or business leader? We’d love to hear the story.

When it comes to what inspired me to pursue my career as an entrepreneur and business leader, I can attribute it to the diverse influences from my family. On my father’s side, there is a long lineage of successful business people. Witnessing their entrepreneurial spirit and the impact they made fueled my own aspirations. On my mother’s side, I come from a lineage of individuals dedicated to serving others and making a positive difference in society. The combination of entrepreneurship and service became a powerful guiding light for me, shaping my values and approach in the business world. Today, I continue to draw inspiration from both these influences as I navigate my path as an entrepreneur and business leader.

None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Was there a particular person who you feel gave you the most help or encouragement to be who you are today? Can you share a story about that?

There is indeed a person who played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today. My Kung Fu Master took me under his wing when I was an underdog, physically weak, and terribly uncoordinated. Despite these challenges, he went out of his way to inspire and encourage me. He saw the potential within me and believed in my ability to grow and excel. His unwavering devotion to helping me become the best version of myself continues to inspire me to this day.

I remember a specific instance when I was struggling with a particularly difficult Kung Fu technique. I was ready to give up, feeling discouraged and defeated. It was at that moment that my Master approached me with compassion and wisdom. He shared his own journey of facing obstacles and assured me that setbacks were merely opportunities for growth. He patiently worked with me, breaking down the technique into manageable steps and instilling confidence in me.

Through his guidance and unwavering support, I began to witness my own progress and transformation. He taught me the importance of perseverance, discipline, and believing in oneself. His dedication to helping me overcome my limitations and embrace my potential left an indelible mark on my life.

Inspired by his example, I strive to pay it forward by assisting and uplifting those facing their own challenges. I understand firsthand the power of encouragement and support in enabling individuals to rise above their circumstances. My Kung Fu Master’s impact on my life continues to fuel my commitment to helping others overcome obstacles and reach their highest potential.

Can you share the funniest or most interesting mistake that occurred to you in the course of your career? What lesson or take away did you learn from that?

When I was younger, my parents owned a restaurant, and an interesting mistake occurred during that time. My father had experienced success in the Indian movie industry, but it suddenly came to a halt due to the emergence of the video industry with tape recorders and video recorders. As an investor in a restaurant, my father had hired a manager to handle the operations. However, a few days before the grand opening, this manager disappeared without a trace.

In light of this situation, my father took matters into his own hands. He gathered my mother, who was also involved in the restaurant, and me. With no prior knowledge of running a restaurant, we found ourselves in a challenging predicament. As a teenager, I had to quickly learn and adapt to every position, from chef to server, and gain a comprehensive understanding of running the establishment.

The most significant lesson I derived from that experience was observing how my father provided exceptional service to every customer. If someone expressed dissatisfaction with their meal or if there was any issue, my father went above and beyond to rectify it. He not only replaced the meal at no cost, but he also refused to charge the entire table. This level of generosity and dedication to customer satisfaction taught me the importance of not just offering customer service, but also fostering customer loyalty.

My father demonstrated the value of treating customers as if they were part of our own family. I learned how to win back the trust of customers and create a genuine connection with them. Since then, this approach has become an integral part of my way of life. Providing remarkable service, showing empathy, and loving our customers like family have remained guiding principles throughout my career.

The mistake of the missing manager ultimately taught me that unforeseen challenges can arise, but with adaptability and a commitment to exceptional customer experiences, we can turn even the most difficult situations into opportunities for growth and success.

The road to success is hard and requires tremendous dedication. This question is obviously a big one, but what advice would you give to a young person who aspires to follow in your footsteps and emulate your success?

My advice is to trust your soul’s voice. In this world, we encounter countless external voices telling us what to do, who to be, and how to navigate through life. While these voices may have good intentions, it is crucial for you to tap into your own soul’s voice and listen attentively.

To emulate my success, you must align your soul with your mind. It’s not solely a matter of relying on logical thinking and intellect to guide your path. Instead, dive deep into your inner being, connect with your intuition, and let your soul’s voice become your compass. Take the time to learn how to tap into this inner wisdom and make it an integral part of your decision-making process.

Remember, it’s essential to navigate life from the unity of your soul and mind, rather than being driven by ego or the limited thinking of others. By doing so, you will find clarity, purpose, and a unique perspective that will guide you towards the fulfillment of your goals and aspirations.

However, also keep in mind that the road to success requires tremendous dedication. Embrace challenges and setbacks as opportunities for growth, and persevere with unwavering determination. Stay true to yourself, stay connected to your soul’s voice, and let it guide you towards a path that resonates with your deepest desires and values.

Ultimately, success is not just about external achievements, but about inner fulfillment and living in alignment with your authentic self. Trust yourself, listen to your soul, and let your journey unfold with grace and purpose.

Is there a particular book that made a significant impact on you? Can you share a story or explain why it resonated with you so much?

Yes, there is a book that had a significant impact on me called “Life Is Not Meant to Be a Struggle” by Stuart Wilde. Reading this book completely shifted my perspective on how to exist in the world. At that time, I was constantly overwhelmed, overworked, and engulfed in struggles. It felt like an endless cycle.

When a friend gifted me this book, I delved into its pages and had a profound realization. I discovered that I had unknowingly become one of those individuals trapped in the pattern of constant struggle. The book presented this realization in a humorous way, which allowed me to see the irony of my situation.

Through its teachings, “Life Is Not Meant to Be a Struggle” helped me find humor in my own struggle patterns. This newfound awareness sparked a transformation within me and set me on a path of spiritual growth and self-discovery. I began to release the grip of struggle in my life and embraced a more light-hearted and joyful approach.

The book served as a catalyst for me to question my beliefs and examine the imprints that had shaped my perception of the world. It opened my eyes to the possibility of living a life filled with ease, flow, and inner peace. It taught me that struggle is not an inherent part of our existence but rather a product of conditioning and limited thinking.

Since reading “Life Is Not Meant to Be a Struggle,” I have continued to explore spiritual teachings and develop a deep understanding of the power of the mind and the importance of aligning with one’s authentic self. This book marked the beginning of my journey toward self-realization and helped me cultivate a greater sense of freedom and fulfillment in all aspects of life.

Can you share your favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Why does that resonate with you so much?

“Adapt what is useful, discard what is not, add what is uniquely your own.” This quote by Bruce Lee has been my favorite life lesson quote and a guiding principle throughout my journey. It resonates with me deeply because it emphasizes the importance of keeping an open mind and continuously learning.

In life, we encounter a multitude of philosophies, systems, and patterns that claim to have all the answers or offer the only path to success. However, this quote reminds us not to become rigid or limited in our thinking. It encourages us to be discerning and selective, absorbing what is truly valuable and beneficial, while discarding what does not serve us.

Moreover, the quote encourages us to add what is uniquely our own. It recognizes that each of us is an individual with our own perspective, talents, and insights. We have the capacity to contribute something original and authentic to the world. By embracing this idea, we honor our personal growth and creative expression.

This quote has been a constant reminder for me to stay open-minded, continuously learn from various sources, and remain adaptable. It reminds me not to blindly adhere to any single philosophy or belief system, but rather to integrate what resonates with me and aligns with my values and purpose.

By following this principle, I have been able to cultivate my own unique approach to personal and professional growth. It has allowed me to blend different teachings, modalities, and practices to create a holistic and effective path that works for me. I believe that by adapting what is useful, discarding what is not, and adding our own unique contributions, we can create a life that is truly aligned with our essence and make a meaningful impact in the world.

What are some of the most interesting or exciting projects you are working on now? How do you think that might help people?

Currently, one of the most exciting projects I am working on is our leadership work with CEOs, founders, and their teams. We are collaborating with positive impact companies that are deeply committed to making a positive difference on our planet. Witnessing their dedication and passion is truly exhilarating.

What excites me the most is seeing these companies ready to scale up their impact. Many of them are aiming for exponential growth, seeking to expand their reach and influence. It fills me with joy to witness the enthusiasm and determination these companies have in their pursuit of bettering the world.

Through our work together, we focus on empowering leaders to cultivate their leadership skills, foster effective teamwork, and drive positive change within their organizations. By supporting these visionary leaders and their teams, we contribute to the development of conscious and purpose-driven businesses.

Ultimately, the impact of these projects goes beyond individual companies. It ripples out into society, inspiring others and setting an example for sustainable and ethical business practices. When companies dedicated to the betterment of the planet thrive and succeed, they create a positive ripple effect that benefits people and the environment.

I firmly believe that by working with these passionate leaders and helping them unlock their full potential, we contribute to a more conscious and compassionate world. It’s truly fulfilling to be a part of these exciting projects and witness the profound impact they can have on people’s lives and the planet as a whole.

OK, thank you for all of that. Let’s now shift to the core focus of our interview. As a business leader, you likely often face high stakes situations that involve a lot of pressure. Most of us tend to wither in the face of such pressure and stress. Can you share with our readers 3 or 4 strategies that you use to cope with the burden of stress?

When facing high-stakes situations and feeling the burden of stress, I have developed several strategies that help me cope and navigate through these challenges. Here are a few strategies that I find particularly effective:

  1. Scan your body: When you feel the weight of stress, take a moment to scan your body from head to toe. Pay attention to areas where you sense tension, tightness, or discomfort. By bringing awareness to these physical manifestations of stress, you can gain valuable insights into the impact it has on your body.
  2. Breathe: Once you identify the areas of tension, shift your focus to your breath. Take slow, deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. As you inhale, visualize yourself drawing in calmness, clarity, and renewed energy. With each exhale, imagine releasing the stress and tension from your body, allowing it to dissipate.
  3. Release the stress: While you breathe, consciously release the stress you have identified in your body. Visualize the stress melting away with each breath out, leaving you feeling lighter and more at ease. By intentionally letting go of the stress, you create space for a calmer and clearer state of mind.
  4. Lower the importance: Reflect on the situation that is causing you stress and consider the importance you have attributed to it. Ask yourself if you have magnified its significance beyond what is truly necessary. Often, we tend to overestimate the importance of certain outcomes or expectations, leading to increased stress levels. By recognizing and challenging the exaggerated importance, you can regain perspective and reduce the burden of stress.

By practicing these techniques — scanning your body, conscious breathing, releasing stress, and evaluating importance — you can effectively cope with stress and alleviate its burden.

Aside from being able to deal with the burden of stress, can you share with our readers five strategies that you use to optimize your mind for peak performance before high pressure, high stress situations?

  1. Shake up the body: Before any important meeting or event, I engage in a practice of shaking out my body. This can involve vigorous movement, breathwork, or a brief debriefing. By shaking my body, I release tension and ground myself, allowing me to enter the situation feeling refreshed and energized.
  2. Soften the front surface of the body: I consciously soften the front surface of my body, including the face, jaws, throat, chest, heart, and belly. By doing so, I become more attuned and aware of my surroundings. Softening the front surface helps me relax, raises my overall awareness, and enables me to be more receptive and adaptable.
  3. Visualization: In my imagination, I mentally meet the people I will be interacting with before the actual encounter. Whether it’s a meeting or a presentation, I visualize positive interactions and establish a harmonious connection with them. This mental rehearsal allows me to anticipate and prepare for the encounter, enhancing my confidence and communication skills.
  4. Identify positive intent: I take the time to understand the positive intentions and motives of the people I will be engaging with. I go beyond their business needs and delve into their deeper human desires, wants, and needs. By recognizing their individual needs at a soul level, I can approach the interaction from a place of genuine empathy and speak to their core desires.
  5. Serve and connect: Rather than focusing solely on the power of my own product or service, I aim to address the needs, wants, and desires of the other party at a human level. I seek to acknowledge, recognize, respect, and care for them. By approaching the interaction with a genuine intention to serve and connect, I create an atmosphere of trust and rapport that goes beyond business transactions.

By implementing these strategies, I optimize my mental state for peak performance in high-pressure situations. They allow me to enter with a clear focus, empathy, and a deep understanding of the human dynamics at play. Ultimately, this helps me establish meaningful connections and navigate challenging situations with grace and effectiveness.

Do you use any special or particular breathing techniques, meditations or visualizations to help optimize yourself? If you do, we’d love to hear about it.

I utilize a powerful self-inquiry question as a way to optimize myself and align with my purpose. It is a question that I consider to be a warrior question, one that carries depth and significance. This question serves as a guiding force in my life, helping me to sharpen my focus, hone my intentions, and live with a sense of purpose. The question I ask myself regularly is: “What must I do today to live, love, and die complete without regret?”

By reflecting on this question, I am prompted to evaluate the actions and choices that will truly fulfill me and lead to a life lived authentically. It compels me to prioritize what truly matters, to deepen my connections with others, and to seize opportunities that align with my values and aspirations. This self-inquiry practice serves as a meditation and visualization technique in its own right, helping me to bring clarity and intention into each day.

Through this question, I am reminded to live fully in the present moment, to love deeply and genuinely, and to embrace life’s challenges and triumphs with a sense of purpose. It serves as a constant reminder to make choices that align with my higher self, so that when the time comes to reflect on my life, I can do so without regret and know that I have lived with integrity and fulfillment.

This self-inquiry practice has become an integral part of my journey towards self-optimization, allowing me to continually realign with my purpose and make conscious choices that contribute to a life well-lived.

Do you have a special technique to develop a strong focus, and clear away distractions?

Actually it is the same answer, by asking yourself “What must I do today to live, love, and die complete without regret?”

It stems from the Warrior Sage tradition, which emphasizes the importance of valuing every moment of life as precious, sacred, and valid.

By posing this question to ourselves with sincerity and depth, we tap into the wisdom of our hearts and souls. It serves as a potent reminder to prioritize what truly matters and align our actions with our deepest values and aspirations. This question acts as a guiding light, helping to focus our attention on what is truly meaningful in the present moment.

When we approach each day with this question in mind, we cultivate a strong sense of purpose and intentionality. It allows us to filter out distractions and stay focused on what truly matters. The clarity that arises from this practice enables us to make conscious choices and decisions that align with our higher selves.

This technique of self-inquiry serves as a powerful tool for developing and maintaining a strong focus. It encourages us to engage with life fully, to be present in each moment, and to make choices that lead to a life lived without regret. By embracing the validity and sacredness of every day, we cultivate a mindset that naturally clears away distractions and sharpens our focus on what is truly important.

We all know the importance of good habits. How have habits played a role in your success? Can you share some success habits that have helped you in your journey?

I believe that the way we start our day sets the tone for everything that follows. Therefore, I have developed specific success habits that help me begin each day on the right track.

First and foremost, I prioritize meditation as part of my morning routine. This practice allows me to cultivate a calm and centered state of mind, enabling me to approach the day with clarity and focus. Meditation provides me with a valuable space for self-reflection, inner guidance, and connecting with my higher self.

Physical training is another essential habit that has contributed to my success. Engaging in regular exercise not only enhances my physical well-being but also has a profound impact on my mental and emotional state. It helps me maintain high energy levels, boosts my confidence, and keeps me motivated and disciplined.

One of the more unconventional success habits I practice is a cold plunge or ice cold bath. This practice involves immersing myself in cold water, which has numerous benefits for both physical and mental health. The cold plunge helps invigorate my body, increase mental alertness, and build resilience to discomfort. It serves as a powerful reminder to embrace discomfort and step outside my comfort zone.

Visualization is another crucial success habit in my daily routine. Before starting my day, I take the time to visualize my intentions and goals. I create a mental image of how I want the day to unfold, envisioning success, positive interactions, and desired outcomes. This practice helps me set a clear direction and primes my mind for success.

These success habits have been integral to my journey, providing a solid foundation for personal growth, focus, and resilience. By incorporating meditation, physical training, cold plunges, and visualization into my daily routine, I create a holistic approach to self-optimization and set myself up for success in both personal and professional endeavors.

What is the best way to develop great habits for optimal performance? How can one stop bad habits?

The best way to develop great habits for optimal performance is to shift our focus from trying to stop bad habits to intentionally creating new, positive habits. Instead of solely focusing on getting rid of what we don’t want, it is more effective to direct our attention towards what we do want to cultivate.

For instance, if we aim to eat better, it is more productive to concentrate on incorporating nutritious foods into our diet rather than fixating on eliminating unhealthy choices. By consciously choosing to put in good, nourishing food, the positive habits naturally replace the less desirable ones. The focus on adding in the good stuff naturally allows the bad stuff to fall away.

The key lies in consciously and consistently engaging in the desired behaviors that align with our goals and aspirations. By repeatedly practicing these positive habits, they become ingrained in our daily routine, leading to optimal performance and overall well-being.

To further support the development of great habits, it can be helpful to establish a supportive environment. Surrounding ourselves with people, resources, and settings that encourage and reinforce the desired habits can significantly aid in their cultivation. Additionally, setting clear goals, creating a structured routine, and holding ourselves accountable can contribute to the successful development of positive habits.

Remember, developing great habits is a journey that requires patience, persistence, and self-compassion. By focusing on the creation of new habits aligned with our aspirations and consistently nurturing them, we pave the way for optimal performance and personal growth.

As a business leader, you likely experience times when you are in a state of Flow. Flow has been described as a pleasurable mental state that occurs when you do something that you are skilled at, that is challenging, and that is meaningful. Can you share some ideas from your experience about how we can achieve a state of Flow more often in our lives?

From my experience, I have found that one effective approach is to consciously lower the importance we attribute to various tasks and activities. When we place excessive importance on something, it creates internal tension, pressure, and anxiety, hindering our ability to enter a state of flow.

By consciously choosing to lower the perceived importance of a task or activity, we can alleviate the unnecessary pressure we place on ourselves. This can be done by reminding ourselves that perhaps it is not as crucial as we initially believed. Taking a step back, breathing, and consciously relaxing helps us shift our perspective and recognize that the task at hand may not have the weight we initially assigned to it.

When we lower the importance and allow ourselves to chill out, we naturally enter a more relaxed state conducive to experiencing flow. By releasing the self-imposed pressure and tension, we create space for creativity, focus, and enjoyment to emerge. Lowering importance enables us to approach tasks with a lighter mindset and a greater sense of freedom, which are essential ingredients for accessing the flow state.

It is essential to understand that the secret lies in recognizing that adding importance crushes or diminishes the flow state, while lowering importance opens the door to experiencing the highest state of flow. By consciously practicing this mindset shift and prioritizing a relaxed and non-attached approach, we increase the likelihood of experiencing the pleasurable mental state of flow more frequently in our lives.

It is a continuous practice, and with conscious effort and self-awareness, we can cultivate a mindset that invites flow into our daily experiences.

Ok, we are nearly done. You are a person of great influence. If you could inspire a movement that would bring the most amount of good for the greatest number of people, what would that be? You never know what your idea can trigger. done

If I had the opportunity to inspire a movement that could bring immense goodness to the world and positively impact the lives of countless individuals, it would center around a transformative process known as the Enlightenment Intent or Kensho Intensive. Kensho, derived from the Japanese language, represents the essence of this process. My vision is to make this process accessible to everyone across the globe, ensuring that it is either free or available at a minimal cost, enabling people from all walks of life to participate and experience its profound benefits.

The core objective of this process is to assist individuals in realizing their true nature and uncovering their authentic selves. It empowers individuals to go beyond the roles they have been taught to assume or the societal expectations they have internalized. Through the Enlightenment Intent, people can embark on a journey of self-discovery, unraveling the layers of conditioning and beliefs that have shaped their identities. It is about awakening to our innate essence and living a life that is in alignment with our deepest truth.

Imagine a world where each person is intimately connected with their authentic self, liberated from the limitations imposed by external influences. When we truly know ourselves, we can embark on the path we are destined to walk, rather than following the prescribed paths laid out by others. By embracing our true nature, we tap into our unique talents, gifts, and purpose, living lives filled with fulfillment, purpose, and joy.

The impact of such self-realization is immeasurable. As individuals awaken to their true nature and live authentically, their positive influence radiates outward, transforming relationships, communities, and society as a whole. By extending the invitation to every individual to embark on this journey of self-discovery, we can trigger a movement that reaches far and wide, transcending borders and cultural boundaries. This movement has the potential to create a world where authenticity, empowerment, and genuine self-expression are valued and celebrated.

My vision for this movement is to ensure that the process is accessible to all, regardless of their financial circumstances. By removing the barriers of cost and making it widely available, we can enable people from diverse backgrounds to experience the profound transformation that comes with self-realization. It is my firm belief that if people around the world engage in this process, the collective consciousness of humanity will shift, leading to a world where individuals live in alignment with their true selves, fostering compassion, understanding, and harmony.

In essence, this movement is an invitation for everyone to embark on the path of self-discovery, to uncover their true nature and live the life they are meant to live. By knowing ourselves deeply, we liberate ourselves from the expectations imposed by others and embrace our authentic essence. Through this movement, we can empower individuals to embrace their unique potential and contribute to a world where authenticity, fulfillment, and genuine human connection thrive.
